Fully aligned with NFPA 1001 standards, this intensive course combines rigorous classroom theory with high-stress practical evolutions to prepare firefighters for the modern fireground. The hybrid model through Moodle makes it easy for students to learn the classroom materials and the practical portion makes it easy for students to learn as needed. 

• Firefighter Level I (The Operational Foundation):
  • Fire Behavior & Suppression: Mastering fire dynamics, science-based extinguishment principles, and aggressive interior attack techniques.
  • Life Safety & Survival: Developing absolute muscle memory in the inspection, donning, and maintenance of PPE and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), including emergency air-management.
  • Essential Fireground Operations: Executing rapid search and rescue, structural ladder deployment, tactical ventilation, and mechanical forcible entry under zero-visibility conditions.
  • Live Fire Training: Participating in live-burn evolutions conducted under strict NFPA 1403 safety guidelines to build fireground resilience.
• Firefighter Level II (Advanced Tactical & Technical Operations):
  • Advanced Suppression & Extrication: Coordinating vehicle extrication, mastering flammable liquid/gas fire control, and managing complex foam application systems.
  • Fireground Leadership & Communications: Assuming responsibility for crew accountability, executing complex radio communications, and assisting the Incident Commander with fireground documentation.
  • Community Risk & Origin Preservation: Inspecting properties for fire hazards, delivering public safety education, and recognizing and preserving evidence of fire origin and cause.

• Hands-On Psychomotor Testing: Timed, rigorous evaluations of individual skills—from SCBA failure protocols to rapid ladder raises—scored to absolute proficiency.

• Apparatus Driver/Operator (The Driving Foundation):
  • Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine, critical visual and operational system checks (braking, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid systems) to ensure response readiness. 
  • Defensive & Emergency Driving: Mastering vehicle dynamics, weight transfer, braking techniques, and legal liabilities when driving under emergency conditions.
  • Precision Driving Maneuvers: Navigating tight urban environments through advanced training in alley docking, serpentine tracking, and 180-degree confined space turns.
• Pumper Apparatus Operator (The Pumping Core):
  • Fire Ground Hydraulics: Calculating precise flow rates, friction loss, engine pressure, and nozzle pressures using industry mathematical formulas. 
  • Water Supply Management: Executing flawless water transitions from internal apparatus tanks to external sources, including pressurized hydrants and static drafting setups. 
  • Advanced Pumping Operations: Setting up and managing complex water delivery systems, including multi-truck relay pumping, water shuttles, and master streams. 

• Practical Coned Course Audits: Real-world timed evaluation of the mandatory NFPA closed-course driving maneuvers without striking obstructions or using mirrors improperly.
• On-Road Performance Reviews: Direct observation of defensive driving, auxiliary braking use, and speed management across a predetermined public-road testing route.
• Hydraulic & Pumping Competencies: Hands-on testing of pump transitions, pressure governor operations, drafting procedures, and fault recognition under simulated fireground stress.

• Fire Officer Level I (Front-Line Supervisor):
  • Leadership & Supervision: Navigating the transition from peer to supervisor, managing company-level human resources, and resolving internal crew conflicts. 
  • Administrative Functions: Managing routine department records, preparing concise tactical reports, and implementing member health and wellness initiatives.
  • Tactical Emergency Delivery: Acting as the initial Incident Commander (IC) for single-unit responses, establishing accountability, and developing fast-acting Incident Action Plans (IAPs).

• Fire Officer Level II (Multi-Company & Administrative Manager):
